2010/07 Choral Workshop with The King’s Singers

Posted in Outings on July 13, 2010 by The Summer'SingersKing’s Singers has always been an inspiration to us, be it their voice projection, vocal harmony, song interpretation or the stage performance….. it is just unbelievably good. If you asked us how many times we’ve seen them, we’d say…. MANY TIMES!!!! From the videos obviously! lol.
Well, since our establishment, we’ve never thought we’d had the chance to experience the premier league performing live! When we were told “K’s is gonna perform in KLCC DPO”, we were just overwhelmed and blessed that finally the moment to meet K’s is here….. Irregardless the price of the ticket, even if it means we had to skip lunch and dinner to save the money for the ticket, we’d do it! After months of waiting anxiously for D-day…. Finally it has arrived….. and here we are….. sitting in a stunning hall, watching the top A Cappella group performing live!!!
The voices of the six man filled the beautiful classy hall with sense of satisfaction….stage light from above was just like angels guarding above… The humorous introductory and playful interpretation of songs like clic, clac, dansez sabots and Dance to thy daddy made everyone burst into laughters, and there were also moments of tears when songs like Danny boy, Yesterday was performed… the whole performance was just flawless and splendid….
Hope will never die as long as you don’t stop chasing your dreams…..someday… we’ll be there…..
….. never thought we’d see K’s, and never thought we get to be so close in proximity….. flashes everywhere, capturing every moment of our singers’ excitement….. so much so that you can only see their teeth instead of their eyes!
That’s what i meant….. check out cindy!!!! where’s her eyes???? Guess her excitement is just written all over her face….well she said she won’t wash her hands at least for a day….. hahaha
Yes, we want all the CDs to be signed and we’re gonna frame it!! so please please please…. sign ALLLLLLL….
And finally…… when co director of K’s meets the music director of The Summer’Singers….. Baritone Stephen and Soprano Quan…..
Sweetest moments ever! Bet these girls wont be able to fall asleep!
And finally……the night ended with a group photo….. missing Timothy though
…..
This…..is what happens when The Summer’Singers meet The King’s Singers…..
All in all we had an extravaganza night….Hope to see you soon……

Posted in Choir Interactions, Concerts, Master Class / Workshop, Media Broadcast / Press Release on August 4, 2009 by The Summer'Singers《
